Due to the dyes that are present in mango wood, it can take a very large number of shades. The main color is golden brown, while other colors such as yellow, pink and black can form numerous streaks and strokes. Sapwood looks paler, but not always clearly defined. Entangled fibers often form beautiful patterns. The texture is medium or large, with a natural sheen.
