Sapwood whitish or pale yellow, sharply demarcated from the nucleus. The nucleus is orange-brown, brown or dark red-brown, becoming darker over time. The texture is large but homogeneous. This rock is characterized by sulfur-yellow and black deposits that are in the cavities of blood vessels.
